The Rap: HIV/ AIDS

Chorus

HIV,is no place to be.
There are drugs to stall it but none to stop it.
is that any way to to live?
It leads to aids and AIDS is worse
it is almost exactly like a curse.

Verse 1

Your body cannot fight disease.
Wouldn't it be scary if YOU had hiv?
Your body is like an engine that might just burn out.
And if that happens your lifes gonna go down- down- down.

How can you be free if you depend on a pharmacy.
Its not where you want to be.
Bottles and bottles of pills to take.
Having hiv is no piece of cake.

CHORUS

HIV,is no place to be.
There are drugs to stall it but none to stop it.
is that any way to to live?
It leads to aids and AIDS is worse
it is almost exactly like a curse.

Verse 2
the number of deaths per year is 3 mill
but if we don’t act it could be 3 bill
People think it’ll just blow over like a common cold.

Is it a cold i ask you NO!
it’s as deadly as not drinkin’ H20.
It feels terrible like a really bad flu
you’ll feel like a big pile of poo.
you will be vulnerable to tumors and disease galore
it ‘s a terrible sickness and we should do more.

Chorus

HIV,is no place to be.
There are drugs to stall it but none to stop it.
is that any way to to live?
It leads to aids and AIDS is worse
it is almost exactly like a curse.

Verse 3

What do we do to stop this disease?
please donate please please please.
even five dollars could change a life. A life ‘a strife. A terrible life

If you pay today,
we might find a cure
and if that happens
tons o’ people could be pure.

Reflections

Tibor:
I learned a lot of things when my group and I did the rap about HIV. I learned that 3 million people
die from HIV every year. I also learned that HIV is passed on in sexual intercrosses as well as in
blood. There are very few drugs that can cure HIV. I also learned how to work with my group and
divide the work and make a song together. I also learned how to to use a few new programs and
more devices. I think in general we worked very well together. Our recording was pretty good.
But the music could be a little better.

Alice:

For the HIV/AIDS project I think that my group and I did well, but I still think we could have improved
on some things and we definitely have a lot to learn!Something that we did well was finding good
pictures even though our topic was a bit tricky, they do not have that many pictures of HIV/AIDS victims.
We also did well on the music because most of the different kinds of beats on the website we were using
sounded happy and upbeat, the opposite our sad topic. It was also very hard to find lyrics that got our
point across, our group that well too! I am very appreciative that I was put in a group with Toby and Tibor b
ecause without them I would not know what to do.
Something that we could have worked on is communicating with each other better. Sometimes, when were
working on the project we would be doing the same thing that somebody else in our group had already done.
This happened because all we ever said to each other none existing, or in the form of yelling at each other.
Something that I learned is how to rap and how to make a slideshow video. It was hard for me to learn
because computer is not my strongest subject in school. I feel proud that I have learned how to make a slideshow!
Something that we should learn how to do is to zoom in and zoom out in the video. Our video would be more
interesting if we knew how to do this. I would really like to learn how to do this.
This has probably been my best computer assignment. My group and I worked very hard to do everything to
make our project great. The only reason why we did not zoom in or zoom out in our video is because we did not
even know that you were able to do that.

Toby
:I learned that Hiv is a huge problem in the world. When Tibor, Alice, and I were finding pictures
it was so sad seeing all of these poor, suffering people. I also learned that Hiv is received through:
sharing a needle with and infected person and intercourse. Also that over 3 million people die a
year from Aids. To create the rap we had to learn to use Audacity, Corel, and many other websites.
When I was in charge of doing the music, learning to import things into Audacity was hard. When
working with Tibor and Alice, we had fun. We're all friends and had lots of fun working with each other.
